- He replaces Aakash Moondhra, who quit the company in October 2015.
- He was working as CFO of Aircel since January 2013 before joining Snapdeal.
BoB becomes first PSU bank to join Chillr Platform after HDFC Bank.
- The platform enables peer to peer payment through a mobile application.
- Only those whose banks are integrated with Chillr can use the application for remittance of funds.
- Presently, The app is available for download on Android Platform for fund transfer and will be soon made available for IOS and Windows platform.
- Chillr Mobile app was developed by Kerala based start up Mobme Wireless.
- Subsequently, It was farmed out into a separate company promoted by Sony Joy, founder and CEO Chillr.
Canada’s New PM : Justin Trudeau
- Justin Trudeau of Liberal Party elected as 23rd PM of Canada.
- He is eldest son of Canada’s former PM Pierre Trudeau who was in office for 16 years and led till 1984.
- With this, he also became the second youngest (43 years) PM of Canada and first to follow a parent into office.
- Youngest PM was Joe Clark (40 years) of conservative party who was elected in 1979.

Reliance AMC to acquire Goldman Sachs AMC for Rs 243 Cr.
- It is first ever acquisition of Reliance Capital Asset Management(RCAM).
- RCAM announced takeover of global giant Goldman Sachs’ mutual fund business in India for Rs 243 crore in an all-cash deal as yet another foreign player exits the Rs 13 lakh crore Indian MF market.
- Under this deal, RCAM will acquire all 12 onshore mutual fund schemes of Goldman Sachs Asset Management India with total asset under management of Rs 7132 crore, would also make Reliance MF the exclusive fund manager for the government’s ambitious Central Public Sector Enterprises (CPSE) Exchange Traded Fund.
Veteran and renowned Kannada film maker K.S.L Swamy passes away in Bengaluru.
- He was 77 and popularly known as Ravee and was also Kannada film producer, actor and playback singer.
- Swamy was born in 1938 in Kikkeri in then Mysore Kingdom of British India.
- He had started his cinematic journey as an assistant director to legendary filmmakers such as G.V. Iyer and M.R. Vittal.
- His film Jamboo Savari (1989) had won the National Award for the Best Children Film. He is also recipient of Padma Bhushan (2013) and B. Saroja Devi National Award (2013).
Indian Cricketer Virender Sehwag announced retirement from all forms of international cricket, IPL.
- Sehwag revealed his decision after signing up to play in 2016 Masters Champions League Twenty20 tournament in Dubai.
- Masters Champions League, a UAE-based Twenty20 tournament requires its participants to have retired from all international formats.
- An aggressive right-handed opening batsman and a part-time right-arm off-spin bowler, Sehwag played his debut ODI in 1999 and joined the Indian Test team in 2001.
- In April 2009, Sehwag became the only Indian to be honoured as the Wisden Leading Cricketer in the World for his performance in 2008, subsequently becoming the first player of any nationality to retain the award for 2009.

- Tyre manufacturing giant MRF limited named South African bathsman AB de Villiers as its brand ambassador.
- He will be associated with the company for a period of 3 years.
- AB de Villiers, the ODI captain of South Africa team, in his new role will endorse the company’s products and services through advertising campaigns and other such promotional programmes during the term of the agreement.
Yuki Bhambri becomes first Indian to enter in top 100 since 2010.
- He achieved the career best rank of 99, a reflection of his consistent progress in the last few month.
- Yuki is the first Indian player since 2010 to enter the top-100 and only the third in a decade-and-half to be in the list.
