Civil services exam 2014 declared recently. Among five toppers, there are four Women and the one who topped the civil exam 2014 is Ira Singhal, A 30 year old women from Delhi who topped the exam in fourth attempt. The life of Ira Singhal is full of Inspirational moments.
Early Life of Ira Singhal-
She is the only child of her parents Shri RajendraSinghal and Smt. Anita Singhal. She belongs to delhi and Did 10th from convent school and 12th from Army school, Delhi. She did her graduation from Netaji Subhas Institute of technology in Computer Science and then did Post Graduation from Delhi University in Marketing and Finanace.
She is suffering from Scoliosis by birth and physically Challenged to do some particular works but she is lady with Firm Determination like the Mount Everest and able to do everything possible by her hard work.
Second Phase of Life-
She served the Cadbury India Ltd from 2008 to 2010.She prepared hard for civil service exam 2010 and cracked the exam with a very good rank and selected for Indian Revenue Services. Now, the time started to take her Exam and IRS refused to allot the post because of her short height. She tried to understand them about her passion towards IRS and finally Revenue Department officials understood but now Department of Personnel training denied to allot her a post.
This was the very crucial period for Ira Singhal but by the support of her family and her friends, she did not give up and stood up for her Right.

At Last, Determination wins
Ira Singhal and her family decided to go court for their right. She filed an application in CAT (Central Administrative Tribunal) for the allotment of Post. After a long fight of three years , the final decision of CAT came in 2014 and the decision was in favour of Ira Singhal. She is finally posted in the last month of 2014. Now, she is serving our country as an Assistant Commissioner in Custom and Excise department of Revenue Services.
Hard Work Always Pays-
She wants to be an IAS Officer and Want to do something different for the physical disable persons. She appeared the Civil Services exam 2014 and topped the Exam all over India. The very important thing about Ira Singhal is that she topped the Civil Services exam in general Category not in Physically Challenged Category.
At last we wish her all the best. We hope that this time she will get joining as an IAS officer without any legal fight and will enable some other persons that they can give their best in their life.
