IBPS RRB IV Common Interview- This topic is discussed many times that there should be common interview in IBPS RRB exam. This time the wish come true and IBPS released the IBPS RRB 4 notification with common interview. Some points about common interview are following.
- Interview will be held by a Nodal Regional Rural Bank in a State/UT.
- Proficiency in local language will be tested at the time of Interview.
- Total Marks Allotted for Interview- 100 Marks
- Qualifying Marks- 40 %
Pros and Cons about Common Interview: There may be pros & cons in IBPS RRB common interview while pros have more weight age than cons.
Pros:
- A single Candidate cannot be selected in two/three RRB in a single time.
- After Selection, a Candidate can not apply in any other RRB.
- Merit for Interview may go down as compare to last year merit.
- In many RRBs post remain vacate due to same candidates, now enough candidate should be there to join RRB.
- Not have to pay interview fee again and again.
- Many candidates will get job this time.
- The recruitment process will be end on time. You will not have to wait months after exam to join RRB .
Cons:
- Every candidate will get single chance to be selected finally.
- Now, you may not have option to choose your favorite or nearest RRB.
Finally Common Interview is there. Now no one can say that merit is too high because there is no common Interview and some high rankers are the reason for higher merit. Now, there will be more competition in online exam as well as interview.

you should try to speak (not perfect manner) at least one language declared in form. You may convince the interviewer to learn the language in future.
Comment: I have been short listed for cwe rrb cwe 4 oa.In the application without proper knowledge of rural banks i have given preference of desired bank in 3rd position.what are the chances that i will get posting in that bank if i get selected

it totally depends on merit. if first two preferences got high merit than your marks , it may be possible to get the 3rd preference.
I have been qualified for the officer scale 1 in IBPS PO RRB-IV. But being from a hindi background I have applied for the post from andhra pradesh, also my venue for interview for rrb is in andhra pradesh. So they will ask questions in hindi or telugu? Since they have mentioned that there will be common interview from this year and also I have applied in only hindi related banks. Can you please help me in clearing my doubts.
They can ask to read and write telegu.They can also ask questions in telegu. Anyway if you can prepare for this then try with your best level.
But Sumit I have already mentioned my language proficiency as English and Hindi in my application. So will that be not considered as I have given preference only for hindi grameen banks. Or you mean to say being a hindi person I should have written exam from bihar or up only?
if you mentioned English and Hindi then you are eligible for all states having Hindi and English language as state language like UP , Bihar, Haryana, Rajashthan,Chaatisgarh,Madhya pradesh etc. They may ask questions in English language.

Joining will be according to preferences.
The meaning of that point is now you cant choose RRB in which you want to go or not.It will depend on your marks.Earlier student filled the form of all RRBs and choosed the best option, sometimes after joining in a RRB they choosed next RRB.

Exact Previous year papers are not available due to online exams. So instead of searching them try mock tests to understand the RRB examination.

Yes, It is true. Now only Specialist Officer exam has 2.30 hrs.But dont worry, 2 hrs is enough if you have good preparation. So keep Preparing. All the Best.
For officer scale 1.is it necessary to fill the center from our hometown as I am living in Maharashtra and belongs to MP. I do not know even a bit of marathi (local language)

For officer Scale 1 , you have to fill the choices according to your local language means you passed 10th or 12th with that language (Local language).
What do we mean by common interview? It will be conducted on national level basis or whole of rural banks in particular state will conduct a common interview. Also Is it possible that hindi speaking candidate can get interview call in non hindi states.
Basically common interview means, interviews will be conducted by IBPS.
One candidate is eligible for one time interview only.For officer scale I and Office Assistant, regional language is criteria and hindi speaking candidate can get interview call only from Hindi States. But this not for officer Scale II and III

Want to know some details on Scale II Specialist Officers. It is mentioned that it will not be required to choose the State. I had been surfing a lot to find the information on the intakes on the Specialist Officers Scale II by RRB’s in the previous years.
Is it worth to appear for Scale II (Specialist Officer) in IT for RRB. Please enlighten with the information. Thanks in advance.

You have to fill all the 56 RRBs as your choice because there is no preference of local language in Scale II (Specialist Officer). Especially for IT officer, there is no means of language, IT Officer Understands only one language that is TECHNICAL Language.
As an IT officer you can give a growth to your carrier in RRB. At present many RRBs are Trying to improve their technology in Banking to compete with the other commercial banks. RRBs have a good scope for IT officer scale 2.
As a IT officer, most of the times you may have your post in controlling office like Head Office or Regional Office.
You can choose Scale II as compare to Scale I because as a scale II you can take more decision in favour of your RRB or your Personal life.
